Dialysis provider DaVita Inc. has closed the $4.42 billion acquisition of HealthCare Partners and renamed itself DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc.
HealthCare Partners will be an operating division of DaVita HealthCare Partners, according to DaVita. The HealthCare Partners senior management team will continue to manage the existing business. DaVita HealthCare Partners is now the largest managed health-care company in the country.
The Torrance, Calif.–based HealthCare Partners reported 2011 revenue of approximately $2.4 billion. DaVita recently reported net income for the third quarter of 2012 rose almost 7%.
