Dialysis provider DaVita Inc. announced that Chief Financial Officer Luis Borgen will be leaving the company to become CFO of Boston-based Davids Tea Inc., a venture-capital backed company. Borgen said he was making the change to be closer to his family, in Boston.
The dialysis provider''s chief accounting officer, Jim Hilger, will serve as interim CFO, effective immediately. Hilger, who has been with DaVita in various finance roles since 2005, and became chief accounting officer in 2010. Hilger also served as acting Chief Financial Officer from November 2007 through February 2008. Borgen will stay on for a period of time to ensure a smooth transition.
