House votes to repeal part of 2010 health care law

2/3/2012

The House of Representatives on Wednesday voted to repeal the Community Living Assistance Services and Support program, known as the CLASS Act. The Obama administration had suspended the program in October because it was not financially solvent.

"Just repealing it without replacing it doesn't solve the problem," Rep. Ron Kind (D-Wis.) said on the House floor, according to The Hill. "I hope that the parties are able to work together and address one of the paramount challenges that we're still facing in health care."
