Rockwell Medical 3Q profit falls almost 42%

11/8/2011

Rockwell Medical reported 2011 third quarter profit fell almost 42% to $1.4 million compared to $2.4 million in the same quarter last year. The company attributed the decrease to lower sales volumes and inflationary cost increases. Sales fell almost 19% to $12 million compared to $14.7 million in the same quarter last year because of reduced purchase volumes from one international distributor.

Domestic sales were down $1 million due to changes in product mix as well as due to the loss of certain smaller chain accounts, Rockwell said.
