Dialysis provider DaVita Kidney Carehas named John Wigneswaran, MD, as its new vice president of clinical affairs for hospital services.

Wigneswaran will be overseeing hospital services and helping to evaluate new technology, equipment, and pharmaceuticals. As a member of the Office of the Chief Medical Officer he will be developing new initiatives and programs to enhance physician engagement.

Wigneswaran received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, renal fellowship from Cornell University and is currently working on an MBA at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In addition, he founded Nephroceuticals, an organization focused on improving nutritional health of certain patient populations, namely renal and cardiac patients.
