DaVita HealthCare Partners Inc. said that it would begin providing primary and multi-specialty care in India by investing in Express Clinics Pvt. Ltd., which currently operates 26 clinics located in Pune, Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. Express Clinics offers consultations with general physicians and specialists, pathology and radiology, and custom health packages.DaVita already operates 13 dialysis centers in the country.

"Patient wellness begins at the primary care level," said Atul Mathur, president of DaVita HealthCare Partners in the Asia-Pacific region. "We're recognized as the leading provider of dialysis services in India and we're proud to now extend that record of clinical excellence into Indian primary and multi-specialty care services."

DaVita did not immediatley respond to a request for more information about the agreement with Express Clinics.
