A man receiving hemodialysis treatment at an American Renal Associates dialysis clinic, Florida Dialysis Center of Orlando, was rushed to the hospital after a woman walked in during his treatment and shot him, the local 13 News reported. Orlando police told 13 News that the shooting happened around 9:30 a.m. inside the Orlando dialysis center. The suspect was apprehended in the parking lot and taken in for questioning, police said. No one else in the dialysis clinic was hurt. The dialysis center remains open, and other patients have been allowed inside for treatment, 13 News reports.

Update: Orlando police are now saying the shooter was Shemira Hargrove, 32, the girlfriend of the victim. Police said Hargrove was with him at the treatment center around 9:30 a.m., and shot him once according to WFTV.com. Hargrove appeared distraught, and repeatedly apologized for allegedly shooting her boyfriend and putting patients' lives in jeopardy, the news channel reported.
